Peacefully on Monday June 4, 2012. She leaves to cherish her memory, four sons, Ernest Eugene (Bernida). Ronald (Minister Jackie), Melvin and Wendell (Doris) Williams, one daughter, Pastor Debra A. Garner (Minister David); seven grandchildren, Dr. Bernesta Williams, Tameka Covington, Vernita Pryor (Greg), Brooke Garner, Khia Swearinger (Marvin), Anwar Williams, and Evan Garner; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Eunice, Mary, and Rosalyn Lark, and a host of special nieces, nephews, adopted grandchildren, friends, family, and her beloved church family. The late Mrs. Sadie Williams will lie in state on Saturday June 9, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. at McKeendree-Simms Brookland United Methodist Church, 2421 Lawrence St., NE, Washington, DC. Interment Parklawn Cemetery, Rockville, MD
