Having lived in Grosvenor Park for the past 20 years, Stan was a familiar, smiling face. I will never forget when my daughter was a baby, 18 years ago, that Stan let me carry my bag of groceries so he could carry my beautiful baby. Everytime I have seen him since, he always asked about my daughter and told me how his own children and grandchildren were doing, proudly showing photos. He will be greatly missed in our neighborhood, and I send my condolences to the extended Caplan family.

Barbara & Sheryl,
I was so sorry to hear about Stan's passing. He was such a great guy and I admired how connected with family he was. I loved watching him with Jack, Hallie, and Lily, and all of the neighborhood kids. His warm spirit and great sense of humor will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

How sad that Stan could not enjoy more years in retirement. I managed the site, where his market was located and always found him to be pleasant and fair. The last time that I saw Stan was at Suburban Hospital, where he was volunteering. I was admitted following an accident and was surprised to see his smiling face. Stan had a knack for making a person feel better under less than desireable circumstances.

Please reflect on the promises that God has given us thru his word the Bible concerning the hope of seeing our love ones again. I hope that you find comfort in reading these scriptures: John 5:28, 29, Acts 24:15 and Revelation 21:4. My prayers are with your family.

So sorry to hear about Stan. He was a really nice person and I do remember going to their beach house. The last time I saw him, he said something very nice about my dad. That was just his way. Hope your happy memories will be of comfort to the family.

So sad to learn of the passing of Stanley "Stan" Caplan. I have fond memories of spending time at the beach with the Caplan family in the 40's as my parents, aunt, uncle & cousins were close family friends. Thinking of Stanley and those happy childhood years brings a smile to my face. I'm sure he created fond memories for all who knew him. My sincere condolences to his wife, children, grandchildren and sister.

Stan was one of the first people we came to know at our beloved boat club. He always took the time to share a story, offering laughs & friendship in a such a selfless way. We are the lucky ones to have known him - and now we must say goodbye but not to the special memories.
Holding you & the family up Barbara.
