On December 29, 2010, of Washington, DC. Husband of Audrey Dorsey; father of Eric Dorsey, Samanta Cooper, Kevin, Sr. and Keith Dorsey, Pamela Borders and the late Derrick Dorsey. Survived by an aunt, 10 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Visitation 10 a.m., service 11 a.m., Wednesday, January 5 at Holy Comforter-St. Cyprian Roman Catholic Church, 1357 E. Capitol St., SE. Services by J.B. Jenkins, Inc.

There are no words to tell you how sorry I am to know that Vest will no longer be with us in body, but his spirit will remain always. He was truly a wonderful person and his memories will be with all of us forever. May God give you strength during this time and know that others truly care and loved him.

To Aunt Audrey: Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to you and the Dorsey Family. Know that others share your sorrow on the lost of such a great man. The end of life here on earth means the beginning of a a new life with the creator. Be encouraged knowing that you will see him again one day. Cherish his memory knowing that his work here on earth is done.

It's so hard to say Goodbye,I've gotten to know my uncle over the years and had good times with him too.Each time I would call or went to see him he always told me "I appreciate you calling or coming by"The last time I shook his hand it was like he was telling me something.We talked about things that were between him and I and he would tell me "hang in there"I will miss my Uncle greatly.To Aunt Audrey I love you Kevin,Angel,Keith and Pam you know how I felt about him(MY BUDDY).GOD knew what he was doing, he needed a gate keeper someone strong to protect his garden a provider a leader.Till we meet again LOVE ALWAYS.
