THOMAS HYATT HIGGS "Tom"
Of Fairfax, VA passed away on June 17, 2012. Tom was born in Arkansas to the late Ferdinand and Elsie Higgs. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, JoAnn and his daughter, Amy Higgs Westmoreland and her husband Joe of Centreville, VA. He is also survived by his in laws George and Jane Misslbeck and his sister-in-law Sue Ellen Misslbeck and her partner Karen Gautney. Tom will be missed by many other relatives and friends. Tom proudly served as a Captain in the U.S. Army from 1968 until 1972, when he continued serving his country with the Defense Informations Systems Agency until 2004. Friends may gather at the Everly Funeral Home, 10565 Main St., Fairfax, VA on Thursday, June 21, 2012 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Inurnment will be held at the Arlington National Cemetery Columbarium on a date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Tom's memory to:
