Thomas Patrick Sklopan, 84, died Friday, November 22, 2013 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Born on August 30, 1929 in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late John A. and Rose Hanahan Sklopan.
He was a U.S. Veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict from 1951 - 1953, a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church and a 4th Degree Life Member of the Knights of Columbus.
Mr. Sklopan is survived by his wife of 63 years Eunice Wagner Sklopan; son, Thomas L. Sklopan; daughters, Marla Messenger, Becky Hoffmeister, Suzanne Steele and Dara Sklopan-Johnson; 13 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He is predeceased by 12 siblings.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, November 25 at Lee Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wounded Warrior Project.
