WILLIAM FREAS

Passed away on June 15, 2012 at the age of 66 at Johns Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Dear Husband for 33 years of Rita Seary Freas; father of Amanda Freas and Benjamin Freas; Brother to Ann Hines and Jean Nolan; beloved uncle to Gregory, Rebecca, Nicole, Mark, and John. Bill lived in the same Bethesda house that his family bought when they moved from Oakland, CA when Bill was 7. He earned his PhD from the University of Maryland which he used in his career as a research scientist and later as an administrator for the FDA for 20 years. He was a navigator for the Navy during the Vietnam War and served in the reserves for the following 26 years. His love of gardening and brewing beer was only surpassed by the love he had for his family. He will be remembered for his dedication and determination in everything he did. The family will receive friends at PUMPHREY'S BETHESDA-CHEVY CHASE, 7557 Wisconsin Ave, Bethesda, MD on Wednesday, June 20, from 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you honor his memory by donating blood to the American Red Cross or by making a contribution to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society at www.lls.org/waystohelp/donateonli-
