On Saturday, December 1, 2012, William Joseph Rapp, age 80, of Silver Spring, MD died at his home. Beloved husband of 56 years to Annetta Hunt Rapp; loving father of Regina Gratton (Chris), Kensington ,MD, Lynne Schneider (Robert), Damascus, MD, Michael Rapp, Charlotte, NC, Diane Farley (James), Olney, MD and Laurie Rapp, Portland, OR; grandfather of Elizabeth, Jeffrey and Katherine Gratton, Andrew and Michael Schneider, Macy and Megan Rapp, Cara, Brynn and Tess Farley. A native Washingtonian, Bill was employed in the printing industry throughout his life. Starting as an apprentice with Judd and Detweiler in 1951 he left the company after 32 years as Production Manager. In 1983, he became vice-president of Sauls Lithograph until his retirement in 1995. Friends may call at DeVol Funeral Home, 10 East Deer Park Drive, Gaithersburg, MD on Wednesday, December 5 from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 4101 Norbeck Road, Rockville, MD 20853 on Thursday, December 6 at 11 a.m. Graveside service will be held in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 1300 Bladensburg Rd, N.E.
