Quietly departed this life on Monday, May 28, 2012; devoted husband of the late Elaine H. Flood. Beloved father of Joseph Flood (deceased), Willie J., Samuel C., Michael J. and Rev. Darryl H. Flood, and Gloria McCullough. Also surviving are two sisters Lottie Flood and Martha Kittrell; eleven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law Lucie Thompson, Cleo Coakley and Dollie Blue; and a host of other relatives and many friends. Rev. Flood will lie in state on Friday, June 1, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Southeast Tabernacle Baptist Church, 4101 First St. SE and Saturday, from 9 a.m. until time of Service at 11 a.m. at the Friendship Baptist Church, 900 Delaware Ave. SW. Rev. Dr. J. Michael Little, Pastor. Rev. Darryl H. Flood, Eulogist. Interment Maryland National Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to the Southeast Tabernacle Baptist Church Building Fund. Arrangements by TYRONE J. YOUNG FUNERAL SERVICES. .
