WILLY J. BERGMANN

Of Silver Spring, Maryland, passed away in his home on December 15, 2012. Grieving are his beloved wife of 62 years, Eva, daughters Sandra and Catherine, sons-in-laws Larry and David, grandchildren Nathan and Kaia, brother Ernest, extended family and many friends. Willy was born in Munich, Germany, in 1925, and trained and worked as a chef in Switzerland until moving to the US in 1946. He graduated from the Cornell School of Hotel Management and was a restaurant and hotel manager for nearly 50 years. His last ten years at Riderwood Village were among his happiest, where he was active on the Resident Advisory Council, Jewish Community, Dining Committee, and enjoyed the IDG, woodworking, playing the violin with "Music with Friends," and many meals with friends. He will be sorely missed.

No memorial service is currently scheduled. Contributions in his honor would be gratefully accepted by the Riderwood Village Staff Appreciation Fund, 3110 Gracefield Road, Silver Spring MD, 20904.
