K.G.V. KRISHNA

K.G.V. Krishna, born August 28, 1925, died on March 11, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Leela; his daughter, Gouri and son, Sanjaya; as well as his son-in-law, Wes; daughter-in-law, Jesse; and two granddaughters, Reshma and Anjali, whose lives he graced for many years. He inspired countless people - those in the many countries where he worked tirelessly during his 24 years at the World Bank, the Kannadiga South Indian community for whom he was a pillar of strength and a superb organizer, his tennis partners who could always count on a challenging game, and his family and friends who relied on him up to the end for wisdom, support and an irrepressible wit. He was a repository of global knowledge and a fascinating conversationalist. Devoted to his family, he expressed regret that he often had to leave them for work. He had nothing to regret. Even in his absence, his was a powerful presence and will continue to be for all of us who knew him. Services were held at PUMPHREY'S BETHESDA-CHEVY CHASE FUNERAL HOME, 7557 Wisconsin Avenue, Bethesda, Maryland on Friday, March 14, 2014 at Noon. Please view and sign the family guestbook at:
