Uncle Joe was as warm, sincere and genuine as they came! When he and Aunt Fran came to town, I knew it was going to be a celebration one of the "Greats" house. He would always hold me in one of those hugs and look me straight in the eye, ask how I was ,what was going on and listened to every word of my response. He was a great Great Uncle and I will hold my memories of him close. RIP Uncle Joe...

I have such fond memories of Joe over the years, starting when he and Fran still lived in Scarsdale, and continuing off and on, through Zoe's wedding. He gave the best bear hugs always. When I was living in NYC, from 1965 to 1972, we were neighbors. Fran and Joe invited me to many wonderful parties; I still have Frans' recipe for cole slaw.
He leaves a legacy of warmth, kindness, gentleness, humor. and love.
