Sandra Brockington Noe, 55, of Fairfax, VA, passed away May 2, 2014. Sandra was born in Columbia, SC, on October 15, 1958. She graduated from Wilson Hall in Sumter, SC, and received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of SC. She worked as an Executive Assistant for U.S. Rep. Butler Derrick (D-SC) and served as assistant to the president and CEO of Burson-Marsteller in Washington, DC. Sandra was married to Albert Allan Noe on November 12, 1988; they were married for 25 years. Most recently, Sandra worked as an Instructional Assistant at Fairhill Elementary. She worked there for 10 years and was beloved by her many students and peers. Sandra's legacy is her many students who benefitted from her special attention and beloved care. She was also actively involved in gardening and cooking. Sandra is survived by her husband, Allan, her sons, Brock and David; sister, Sheri Green, her three brothers, Rhett Brockington, Wayne Brockington and Richard Brockington and various nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, David Noe and sister-in-law, Judith Ashland. Sandra was predeceased by her parents: F. Scriven Brockington and Helen Bodeen Brockington. Relatives and friends are invited to share in Sandra's memory at Money and King Funeral Home, 171 W. Maple Ave, Vienna, VA on Monday, May 5 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. with services following at 7 p.m. There will be a "Celebration of Life" for Sandra at the Fairhill Elementary School, 3000 Chichester Lane, Fairfax on Wednesday, May 7 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Autism Research Institute, The family also wishes to thank the Hospice of Reston, VA, (Optum) and Sandra's many friends, colleagues and neighbors.
