SUSAN LYNN KIDD TICKLE (Age 61)

Passed away at her home in Springfield, VA surrounded by family on June 3, 2014. Susan was a native of Northern Virginia, graduated from Mount Vernon High School, and taught within the special education department for the Fairfax County School System for over 20 years. She was a wonderful mother who demonstrated her love to her children through many real life lessons and utilized a quirky sense of humor to help mold them in to the amazing parents they are today. She enjoyed spending quality time with her children, grandchildren and extended family. She played an intricate role and had a passion for helping children that were in need of love and support at times when their world seemed empty. Her life revolved around being an amazing listener and voice of honesty to any who crossed her path. Each day she lived her life to the fullest, no matter what may have come her way! Susan was preceded in death by her mother, Winifred Stockes Kidd; sister, Dana Tickle; brothers, William and Christopher Kidd; and step-brother, Lee Sabatini. She is survived by her husband of 16 years, Anthony Tarman; four children, Robert (Desiree) Tickle, Timothy Tickle, Adrienne (Darrell) Hill, and Erin (Thomas) Middlebrooks; step-children, Danielle (John) Holdway, Jennifer, and Thomas Tarman; 11 grandchildren; brother, Michael Kidd; sister, Valerie Kidd; step-sisters, Cynthia Eftis and Kimberly Toone; father, Robert (Dianne) Kidd; and many other extended family and friends.
