Jerry was born in Chicago, Illinois, where he married Joanne Matousek on August 21, 1954. She survives, along with two sons and daughter-in-laws, nine grandchildren, and one great-grandson. Jerry earned both Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from Loyola University (Chicago). After serving in the United States Army, he entered into a career in federal law enforcement. Jerry was an Investigator on the U.S. Senate Select Committee on Improper Activities in Labor and Management ("Rackets Committee") and served under Chief Counsel Robert F. Kennedy He joined the U.S. Department of Labor as a criminal investigator, where he became Assistant Inspector General for Investigations. He later served in the same position at the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Funeral services will be held in South Bend, IN.
