Of Washington, D.C., passed away on Sunday June 22, 2014. He was the beloved son of Philip M. Gignoux and Mary Alice Kleinjan and sister of Caroline M. Gignoux, all of Washington. He was predeceased by his loving grandparents Frederick E. Gignoux Jr., Virginia Gignoux Sapienza, and Floyd and Hendrine Kleinjan, step-grandfather John T. Sapienza, Sr., and uncle Peter A. Gignoux. He is survived by his uncle Frederick E. Gignoux III (Struthers) of Charlottesville, and step-uncles John T. Sapienza, Jr. (Peggy Rae) of Silver Spring and James Sapienza (Diane) of Charlotte, and many other loving relatives. Chris was employed as a media campaign manager by Targeted Victory in Alexandria, VA, and was a graduate of the Landon School, and of Rhodes College in Memphis.
A viewing is Monday, July 7 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Joseph Gawler's Sons Funeral Home, 5130 Wisconsin Ave NW, Washington, DC. (At Harrison Street) A Service of Celebration of Chris's Life will be held Friday, July 11 at 11 a.m. at Christ Church Georgetown, 31st and O Streets NW, followed by reminiscences in the Parish Hall.
