Marlene Chaseman (Meyerson), 79, of North Bethesda, Maryland, died on August 1, 2014. Born in Forest Hills, Queens, NY, she lived in Baltimore, MD; Great Neck, NY; Los Angeles, CA; and Potomac, MD before moving to North Bethesda two years ago.
Marlene was a loving wife to Joel for 58 years, A Loving mother, and grandmother. Marlene had a passion for mah jongg and canasta, as well as international travel and spending time with her friends and family. Marlene was a graduate of Goucher college.
She is survived by her husband, Joel, two daughters, Martha of Washington, DC, and Joanne Bloomstein (Steven) of New Jersey, and two grandchildren Benjamin and Samantha. She was predeceased by a son, Michael.
Services will be held at Har Shalom Synagogue in Potomac on Sunday, August 3.
A Graveside services will be held at Cedar Park Cemetery in Paramus, New Jersey on Monday, August 4 at 11 a.m. The family will be observing Shiva in Montclair, New Jersey at 62 Plymouth Street on Monday directly following the service, and on Tuesday and Wednesday at her late residence, at 7 pm. Expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to American Jewish World Services, or Montgomery Hospice. Services Entrusted to Danzansky-Goldberg Memorial Chapels.
