VIVIAN REDDING LOLLIS
Vivian Redding Lollis, 75, of Arlington, VA, passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2014.
Born in Russellville, AR, she was the daughter of Hugh Solomon and Vivian Nanney Redding. She was a graduate of Bolton High School in Alexandria, LA, and Duke University. Vivian moved to Arlington, VA soon after college and was employed by the U.S. Forest Service, USDA for 31 years. Her marriage to Foreign Service Officer, Edward W. Lollis II ended in divorce. While married, she lived in Washington, DC; Paris, France; Madison, WI; Abidjan, Ivory Coast; Lagos, Nigeria; London, UK; and Bordeaux, France, in addition to Arlington, VA. In London, she worked for the American Embassy as a Family Liaison Officer.
Vivian is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Lollis, and her husband, Alexander Deiss of Decatur, GA; her sister, Nancy Bullard, and her husband, Dr. Kenneth Bullard of Charlotte, NC; her nephew, Dr. Steven Bullard, and his wife, Dr. Nancy Aria of Arlington, VA; and her niece, Dr. Janine Bullard, and her husband, Timothy Dodge of Baltimore, MD.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 22, 2014 at 2 p.m. at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 4250 North Glebe Road, Arlington, VA 22207.
