ANNA G. DUNN (Age 85)
Sadly, on November 24, 2014, our beloved Mother and friend, passed away in her home in Alexandria, VA, from heart disease. She is survived by her children, Kate, Kevin, Michael and Diane, her grandchildren Stephen, Ryan, Kristin, Heidi, Simon and Katie, her great-granddaughter Ellie, her nephews Dan and Brian and their wives Amy and Jody, her great-nephews Will and Connor, and as mother-in-law to Richard, John and Ali; AND her always faithful companion Kelly. She now goes on to join her beloved husband John and her beautiful sister Mary. Anna retired from the Naval Research Laboratory in 1984 after 37 years of dedicated service and for many years enjoyed her volunteer work at the Mt. Vernon Hospital Gift Shop. She led an active life of traveling and engaging in activities with her many friends at the Montebello Community and will be greatly missed by all. Relatives and friends may call on Sunday, November 30, 6 to 8 p.m. at Demaine Funeral Home, 520 S. Washington Street, Alexandria, VA. A morning Mass will be offered on Monday, December 1, 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 310 S. Royal Street, Alexandria, VA. Interment to follow at 1 p.m. at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 13801 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, MD. Donations may be made in her name to your favorite animal rescue or to St. Mary Catholic Church.

To the Dunn family,
I was deeply saddened to learn of your mom and grandmother's death. I share your loss and fondly remember Ann as a member of my parish, Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Upper Marlboro and also as a faithful volunteer for the Stephanie Roper Committee and Foundation, Inc. (now the MD Crime Victims' Resource Center, Inc.) My heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with you all.

To the Family of Anna Dunn,
You have my deepest sympathy in the loss of your Mother. I knew her from the gift shop at the Mount Vernon Hospital where she worked as a Volunteer and also from attending the Masses held at St. Mary's Catholic Church. She was a wonderful, kind lady and will be missed by many.
