DENISE AVERY (Age 70)
On Saturday, April 8, 2017, of Gaithersburg, MD. Beloved daughter of the late William and Marion Avery; sister of Arlene (Stephen) Lukacs, John, Charles and the late Mark Avery; aunt of Jason, Andrew (Christine) and Kyle Lukacs; and great-aunt of Avery and William. She is also survived by two aunts and many cousins. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD (Valet Parking) Tuesday, April 18 from 7 to 9 p.m. and at Holy Redeemer Church, Summit Ave and Cable Drive, Kensington, MD, on Wednesday, April 19 from 10:30 to 11 a.m., followed by Mass of Christian Burial. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association.

Today I said farewell to a very dear friend and confidante. Denise Avery will be greatly missed. I'm so thankful for the many good times and sweet memories that I will forever cherish of her. I pray God's comfort and peace be with her family.
