JOHN PATRICK DONOHOE (Age 36)
On Sunday, April 2, 2017 of Bethesda, MD. Beloved son of Robert B. and Sharon E. Donohoe; brother of Robert B. (Abigail) Donohoe, Jr., Elizabeth A. Donohoe, and Michael A. (Noelle) Donohoe; uncle of Trey, Teddy, Will and Robbie; also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Relatives and friends may call at St. Bartholomew Church, 6900 River Road, Bethesda, MD, on Wednesday, April 26 from 4 to 7 p.m. with vigil prayer service at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Bartholomew Church on Thursday, April 27 at 11 a.m. Interment Private. John's colleagues at UMUC extend our deepest condolences to his family. I worked with John for about five years. He was such a kind, gentle, and patient soul. We spoke often about his interests in vegetarian and vegan cooking, meditation, and Buddhism. I remember him strumming a guitar in his office when I first started working here. He would often take breaks to stretch and walk around the third floor during the work day; you would see him making the rounds. He also enjoyed taking a break each day to meditate in the gardens adjacent to our building. John was very dedicated to his work and the team; I remember times working on demanding projects with pending deadlines where we would be communicating on chat late into the evening. We were all devastated to learn he was missing and have been keeping him and your family in our prayers. Please know he was deeply cared for by his work family and will be sincerely missed by all.
