JOAN SCHULTHEIS (Age 86)
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Joan Schultheis on July 30, 2017. Joan is survived by her loving husband, Andreas; daughters, Mary Crotts, Theresa Schultheis, Carole Butler, Susan Bigbee, Karen Williams and their spouses; sons, John Schultheis, Andreas Schultheis; 20 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren with another on the way. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), on Sunday, August 6, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Church of the Resurrection at Riderwood Village, 3110 Gracefield Road, Silver Spring, MD, on Monday, August 7, at 11 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider sending donations to Alzheimer's Foundation of America or Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.www.COLLINSFUNERALHOME.com

Sue, the sudden loss of your Mother is so heart breaking for you and you family. I was given poem when my Mother passed 28 yrs. ago...The author is unknown. I read this poem when I need my Mom. I hope this will bring you and the family some comfort.

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there, I do not sleep
I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the diamond's gift of snow
I am the sunlight on ripened grain
I am the autumn's gentle rain
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quite birds in circled flight
I am the soft stars that shine at night
Do not stand at my grave and cry
I am not there
I did not die

May God bless you and your family, for there is no greater loss, than the loss of a Mother; my deepest sympathies and prayers are with you.
