Jean Brown Anderson (Age 84)
On Wednesday, September 27, 2017, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved wife of the late Thomas O. Anderson; mother of Karen Magerlein (John), Bill Anderson (Lauren) and the late Tom Anderson; sister of Evelyn West (J. A.) and the late William Brown, Jr.; grandmother of Megan Ferrell (Justin), Chelsea Lee (Kenny), Heather Anderson and Tom Magerlein. Also survived by a great-granddaughter, Bridget Ferrell and other loving family and friends.A Memorial Service will be held at Aspen Hill Christian Church, 13501 Georgia Ave., Silver Spring, MD 20906 on Sunday, October 1, 2017 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Arc of Montgomery County - Residential Program, 11600 Nebel Street, Rockville, MD 20852 or to the Aspen Hill Christian Church.www.COLLINSFUNERALHOME.com

Mrs. Anderson was a sweet, kind woman who loved her family dearly. I worked with her at The Arc for many years and was involved with supports for Tom in the Vocational and Day Services. The Arc will always remember and appreciate her support over many, many years. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.

All of Jean's friends at The Arc Montgomery County were very, very sorry to hear the news of her passing. We remember her with deep affection, especially her beautiful smile, her hardworking attitude, her sweet Southern accent and her strong advocacy for Tom.
