Audrey Denkler Obituary
DENKLER AUDREY MIDGETT DENKLER August 15, 1926April 25, 2009 On Saturday, April 25, 2009, surrounded by her loving family and husband, Audrey Denkler found peace. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and friend. She devoted her life to her husband, John Markwell Denkler and children John Michael, Kirk Endres, Gregory Markwell, Mary Louise, Ann Elizabeth, and Jean Marie. She cherished her twelve grandchildren and her extended family. Audrey was a native of North Carolina and Virginia Beach and loved long walks along the shore. She was also proud of her lineage, including the Midgetts and their service in the United States Coast Guard. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 29, at 6 p.m. with a vigil service at 7 p.m. at MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 1102 W. Broad Street, Falls Church, VA 22046. The funeral mass will be Thursday, April 30, at 10:30 a.m. at Queen of Apostles Catholic Church, 4329 Sano Street, Alexandria, VA 22312. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Alzheimer''s Association, National Capital Area Chapter, 11240 Waples Mill Road, Suite 402, Fairfax, VA 22030, www.alz.org .

You were in my thoughts yesterday on Mother's Day. I am so sorry for your sudden loss and I am sure Mother's Day was a difficult day for you. Uncle Denk and all my cousins,
Just got the notice and we are heartsick at the loss of Aunt Audrey. She is in God's hands now and is with Grandmother and Uncle Johnny. Our prayers are with you all.

Jeanie, Mr Denkler and Family,
Please accept my condolences with the passing of your mom, friend and loved one. May your Family find peace during this most difficult time and may your heart never forget the best of times your Mom provided for you, especially during the early years. For I am confident this was when she protected you and provided for you and taught you the values of more than just getting to school on time.
