MALLON PATRICK MALLON On May 27, 2009, PATRICK MALLON, age 54, died of injuries sustained in a traffic accident in Las Vegas Nevada. Mr. Mallon, 5th Dan, was the Owner and Chief Instructor at Power Tech Tae Kwon Do Studio in Washington DC from 1993 to 2003. He was originally from Glasgow, Scotland where he trained with Hee Il Cho, David Oliver and many other martial arts masters. Mr. Mallon was the Chief Grading Instructor for the Scottish Tae Kwon Do Association and played a pivotal role as the Scottish Representative to the Tae Kwon Do Association of Great Britain. He was a remarkable martial artist and teacher and is remembered with great fondness by his Tae Kwon Do and kickboxing students in the United States and in Scotland. He was a devoted husband to Valerie and loving father to Tylyn. He is also survived by his brother Andrew and his sisters Susan, Mary, Janey and Dorothy in Scotland. A memorial service will be held at the site of the former Powertech Studio in Woodley Park on June 12 at 8 p.m.
