DAVIS ALLEN R. DAVIS, Lt. Col. USAF(Retired) Died suddenly on Monday, December 21, 2009 in his sleep at the age of 93 in his home. His life started in Kenosha Wisconsin in the year of 1916 and as a boy worked the family farm in Winona, Minnesota. He graduated from Winona State Teacher''s College and then made the best move of his life; he joined the U.S. Air Corp out of his lifelong love of aircraft. After the Air Corp, he joined the USAF and attained the level of Lt. Colonel. His duty posts included Europe, the Middle East and Alaska. During his military career, Colonel Davis became a climatologist - meteorologist resulting from his studies at U.C.L.A. and M.I.T. After World War II, Allen met his wife Genevieve Mireau in Paris and settled in the US. His family resided in Alaska, Massachusetts, Miami, Illinois, Florida and Washington, D.C. Colonel Davis is preceded in death by his wife, Genevieve and their son Karol. He is survived by his daughters, Daphne Ceccone and her husband Richard of Ashton, Maryland and Kathy Davis and her husband Tom Myers of Alexandria, his sister, Becky Reinart of Winona MN, and his friend Eddie Dorsey of Fort Washington. Colonel Davis leaves behind many friends from Andrews Air Force Base, and the Charles County Radio Control Flying Club. Family and friends are invited to his service on Monday, January 4, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery Chapel, Cheltenham, MD. Please sign guestbook at:
