Of Alexandria, VA, on September 29, 2003. Beloved wife of Alcides Encinas. Also survived by two children, Boris and Vivian Encinas; five brothers and sisters and one grandchild. Friends may call at DEMAINE ALEXANDRIA CHAPEL, 520 S. Washington St., Alexandria, VA on Thursday, October 2 from 5 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 3 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 310 S. Royal St., Alexandria. Interment Mount Comfort Cemetery, 6600 S. King's Hwy., Alexandria, VA. Contributuons may be made to the Bertha Champagne Memorial Fund.

I met Bertha at Belle Haven Country Club and have spoken with her several times on the phone. I was very sorry to hear of her passing and extend my deep sympathy and warm prayers to all who knew and lover her.
