WINGO ADA MAE WINGO Loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Friend passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 14, 2010. Mrs. Wingo was a long time resident of Silver Spring, MD and Alexandria, VA. She was born March 3, 1919 in Charleston, WV where she was raised and later married. After a 31 year career in the Washington, DC area, Mrs. Wingo retired in 1994 as the Resident Manager of Cole Spring Plaza in Silver Spring, Maryland. She is survived by her three children, Barbara Knapp of Midlothian, VA, Carolyn Hunter of Springfield, VA and Walter "Butch" Wingo of Ellicott City, MD. She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two brothers, James Dearien of Dallas, TX and Frank Dearien of Jefferson City, TN. A Memorial Service will be held October 30, 2010. Details are available at . Interment will be at Spring Hill Cemetery in Charleston, WV. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of a contribution to the Ada Mae Wingo Memorial Fund, Post Office Box 2722, Springfield, VA. 22152. The proceeds will go to the Ivy Manor Assisted Living Home in Ellicott City, MD where she resided and other organizations who provided her with comfort and support over the past four years.
