On Monday, May 2, 2011, of Brookeville, MD. Beloved son of Michael and Bernadette Burlas; brother of Daniel, Andrew and Heather Burlas; step brother of Steven Nardone; grandson of Ed and Joyce Burlas, and Gertrude L. Bevan. Also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Thursday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter's Church, 2900 Sandy Spring Road, Olney, MD, on Friday, May 6, at 10:30 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. We so enjoyed seeing Eric when the family visited us in Marietta. He was smiling and laughing and joking. It breaks our hearts to learn that he is gone. Oh, I remember Eric being such a big part of our "Big Green Machine" little league baseball team. I am so saddened by the news. Eric had such an infectious smile and was always willing to do whatever was asked of him. What a terrible loss. Our prayers and deepest sympathy are with Ginger and Mike and the entire family.
