Nancy Dube of Potomac, Maryland and Treasure Island, Florida passed away peacefully on July 4, 2011, after a lengthy illness.
She was born Nancy Lee Stoner on March 7, 1941 in Randallstown, Maryland, and grew up in Frederick, then quickly took to a lifetime of enriching travel and experiences with her beloved husband of 44 years, Robert Dube. Together, they visited 60 countries and all seven continents.
Nancy's vivacious, adventuresome personality led her to explore many interests, including water skiing, snow skiing, sailing, and theater.
She spent 37 years working for the Atomic Energy Commission and Nuclear Regulatory Commission, earning the affection and respect of her colleagues. Nancy received both the Meritorious Performance and Outstanding Performance Awards, the two highest honors for which she was eligible.
In addition to her husband Robert, Nancy is lovingly remembered by many friends and family, including brother Bill Stoner and sister-in-law Karla Stoner of Urbana, Maryland; sister Susan Luce of Braddock Heights, Maryland; sister Cinda Stoner of Boston, Massachusetts; sister Jeanie Crawford and brother-in-law Bob Crawford of Middletown, Maryland; sister Julie Fish and brother-in-law Ralph Fish of Frederick, Maryland; nephew Michael Luce of Braddock Heights, Maryland; niece Emily DelRegno of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; and niece Lisa Caponiti of Gainesville, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Kathy Ladino and Anna Stoner.
In accordance with Nancy's wishes, there will be no memorial service.
