ALEXANDER TIMOTHY DUANE ALEXANDER Timothy Duane Alexander was born in Washington, DC to the late Dorothy Harvey McDermon and George Alexander on December 6, 1955 and passed away on October 9, 2011. He attended Kimball Elementary, John Phillip Sousa Jr. High and Woodson High School. He performed with a very prestigious male choir in high school. As a young man he worked at the Census Bureau in Suitland, MD and at Sugar's Corner Store in Georgetown. That is where at 16 yrs old he met his future wife, Lulu Hester Alexander, DDS. He has lived with his wife in Prince George County since 1980 with their children Januari "Angel", Charles "Andre", Jennifer, and Ryan. He also has two sons, Timmy and Terrance, from previous relationships. He has been employed with Metro Transit as a Wheel Chair Lift Mechanic since 1981 (31 years). He recently reluctantly retired due to his battle with colon cancer and a back injury. He was a member of Local Teamsters 922. He enjoyed the camaraderie on the job. When not working, which was rare, he enjoyed renovating his home and his wife's offices. He was a huge HGTV fan. He also maintained all his vehicles. Tim was a devoted Dad and Pop-Pop. He often attended events in which his children and grandchil-dren, Jasmine, Jessona, and Tajaehia were involved. He helped design his daughters' dance studio, Artistic Dance Xpressions. He loved to visit with his old family friend, Ken Bush in Chincoteaque, VA. During the Christmas season he enjoyed having his siblings (Ronnie, Phil, Micky, and Judy) and their children (PJ, Brandon, Shamelle, and Robin) over to celebrate. The week after Christmas his sister-in-law and her husband (Georgette "Gigi" and Homer) and their children (Kyrra, Remoh and family) and her cousin Judy would celebrate. In the spring, he liked to escape to Nassau with his brother-in-law and his wife (Hans and Pearl) or heading to Disney World with his family. He has been supported by many family members and friends during his illness. Thanks and blessings go out to you all! Special appreciation to his long time co-workers, Darryl Giles (and his wife Carla) and Major Mohammed (and his wife Nicole), neighbors the Voglezons and Larry Muwwakkil, and family friends the Perry Family, Deborah Patrick, Gordon Patrick and Gwen Bell. Timothy was a Christian and a member of St. Columba Parish. He leaves to await their reunion in the afterlife: his wife Dr. Lulu Hester-Alexander, his children Timothy Mason, Januari "Angel" Hester, Charles "Andre" Hester, Terrance Williams, Jennifer B. Alexander, Ryan P. Alexander, grandchildren Jasmine Hester, Jessona Hester, Tajaehia Hester, his brothers Carl, Ronald, Vaughn (Micky), Phillip Alexander and sister Judy Alexander, his dad George A.
