SALLY FITZPATRICK LIBBEY  

Surrounded by family in her McLean, VA home, Sally passed after fighting over five years against breast cancer and its implications on November 23, 2011. Sally was born December 1946 in Yonkers, NY and graduated from the University of Maryland. She spent most of her adult life in the Washington, DC area until retiring in Urbanna, VA. She is survived by her loving husband Miles Libbey, III; with whom she raised six children for 24 years; Erin Keating, of McLean, VA; Jacob Miller of Falls Church, VA, Benjamin Miller of Springfield, VA, Jonathan Miller of Fairfax, VA, Miles Libbey IV of Mountain View, CA, and Megan Libbey Kinnane of Falls Church, VA; her six grandchildren Miles V, and Alexa Libbey, Jude and Madison Keating, and Molly and Charles Miller and her sisters Judith Davis of Englewood, NJ and Donna Hanford of Sonora, CA. As an owner and entrepreneur she founded or operated five companies, notably establishing IBIS Unlimited, Inc., a celebrated commercial interior design firm which she nurtured and led for over 25 years. Sally was a devoted and loving wife and mother. A Celebration of Sally's life is planned for Sunday, December 4 at Sunset Crest Manor, in Chantilly, VA at 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the .
