CURTIS ROBERT McINTYRE
June 25, 1989 - April 5, 2012
Curtis was a student, an ice hockey player, and an inspiring example of integrity and courage. He died of t-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma at his Olney, Maryland home on Maundy Thursday. He was beloved by his mother and father, Janet and Chris McIntyre; sister Cindy; grandparents Marie McIntyre and Dixon Pattison; and the others of a large, close family.
His illness and death have been graced with commemoration and extraordinary acts of kindness, generosity, and compassion, which are ongoing. Profound appreciation goes to his team-and classmates, and other peers and friends of all ages; neighbors; co-workers of his parents; expert medical professionals and health-care givers; Montgomery Hospice; St. Patrick's Church on Norbeck Road; members and staff of the Washington Capitals ice hockey team; the Sherwood High School ice hockey team; the University of Tampa; and many individuals who only knew of him.
As was his wish, Curtis is interred within view of Sugarloaf Mountain, one of his favorite hiking spots.
