Dr. MARILYN ANN SPERLING (Age 61)
On Wednesday, May 16, 2012, of Potomac, MD. Dear daughter of Frances and the late Leo Sperling; devoted mother of Rachel Hochheiser Schwartz (Scott), Julie Hochheiser Ilkovich (Daniel) and Karen Hochheiser; beloved sister of Len Sperling (Joanne); cherished grandmother of Hannah Schwartz; loved aunt of Laura Sperling. Funeral services will be held today, May 18, 2012, at 9:15 a.m. at Har Shalom Congregation, 11510 Falls Rd., Potomac, MD. Interment Judean Memorial Gardens. Please contact the synagogue for Shiva information at 301-299-7087. Contributions may be made to Brown University, www.brown.edu. Arrangements by Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home under Jewish Funeral Practices Contract of Greater Washington Contract.

To Marilyn's family -
Just learned of your loss. Marilyn was a joy. We were classmates at Ansonia High School and the beloved Valedictorian of our large baby boomer class. Recall she attended Pembroke (Brown) Phi Beta Kappa. Though our paths diverged I shall always recall her mirth, intellectual curiosity and E.Q.
Her legacy is her daughters. You were blessed with a remarkable mother!

Your mother helped me through so many difficult times and she always provided such sound advice coupled with compassion, support, and understanding. I will miss her so much. She was so proud of her daughters and spoke of you and your families very often. Please accept my deepest sympathies.

I was completely shocked to hear about Marilyn's passing. She was like a mother to me. My sister and I used to babysit for her girls, but it almost felt like we were all sisters and she was our mom. She will be missed terribly.
