LESTER PORETSKY
On Saturday, May 26, 2012 Lester Poretsky of Chevy Chase, Md. Loving husband of Irma C. Poretsky and the late Selma Poretsky. Father of Debra (Bob) Ekman and the late Rita Poretsky - Brother of Sylvia Blajwas and the late Sidney Poretsky. Also survived by his devoted stepsons Randy (Polly), Reid (Sara), and Joe (Laurent) Cherner. He is survived by his grandchildren, Eric and Daniel (Rebecca) Ekman; his step-grandchildren Jarrett, Joshua, Eli, Quinn, Hannah, Emma, and Camille. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday May 30 at 11 a.m. at Congregation HARTzeon, 1840 University Blvd, Silver Spring, MD. The family will be receiving friends Wednesday and Thursday at their home. Donations may be made in Lesters memory to the Group Homes Foundation or the charity of your choice. Services Entrusted to Danzansky-Golberg Memorial Chapels.

Irma, Lester's greatest gift to us all was laughter. He made everyone who knew him happier. I was one of the many people who knew Lester, which was truly a blessing for all of us.

Irma I cannot begin to tell you how saddened I was to learn of Lester's passing. I know the two of you made a wonderful life together. He changed my life in so many ways by the opportunities he offered me and advice he passed on to me. I shall forever be thankful to have worked for Lester then to have carried him as a friend. A relationship as employee first which started in 1978 and continues as a friendship with you.
