On Sunday June 24, 2012, beloved husband of Wilma Brady for 65 years died in their Germantown, MD home. Devoted father of Joseph and daughter-in-law Clara, of Northern VA and James of Columbus, Ohio; loving grandfather to James Jr., Jason and Tylor; great- grandfather to Josh, Hannah, Austin, Nicole, Nathan, Olivia and Ava. Charles is also survived by brothers Lee, David and Paul; and sisters, Doris, Wilma Jean and Mary. Charles joined the Army Air Force right after high school and served in the 7th Cargo Combat Squad. He received the "America""Asiatic Pacific" /5 Bronzes Stars, and Good Conduct Ribbons and
the WWII Victory Medal. He studied Engineering
at Ohio State University. He worked at Battelle Memorial Institute for 17 years and finished his
career as a metallurgist with NIST in Gaithersburg.
Service will be held at Snowden Funeral Home, 246 North Washington St., Rockville MD 20850 on Saturday July 7 at 2 p.m. Condolences may be sent by e-mail to Burial at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
