Roger was one of the funnest (and funniest) "friend's dads" I knew growing up. I still have fond memories of trips to Phoenicia and other times when he made us laugh with that "Sullivan sense of humor." I am very sorry that only Mary and Patrick remain right now to carry that on, but I know that Roger's passing leaves not only grieving, but also gratitude for all the years in which he brightened others' lives.

Our love and prayers are with Mary and Patrick; we didn't see the Sullivans often after they left Scarsdale, but our memories are abiding and we're grateful for them. May Roger rest in peace.

My condolences to the family. May your fond memories bring you peace as well as the comfort that our heavenly father gives.

As a newer Sullivan friend, I am now so grateful that I slipped into their circle in the nick of time to have met Roger. My thoughts and prayers are with Mary, Patrick and Dwight.

I could sit for hours or days listening to his fascinating stories and unique eye on history. Plus, he was a sweetheart and still a charmer. He was great loved and will be greatly missed.

Jeanne and I always looked forward to a visit with Roger and Mary when we were in the Catskills at the same time. Roger, a marvelous repository of valley history and what Tip O'Neill had advised him back when. Mary, with the latest Pantherkill/Phoenicia goings-on and more.
We are both so sad that Roger's died, and send our prayers and love to Mary and Patrick and the rest of the Sullivan clan.

You have always been the strong, intelligent and quietly considerate uncle who held up the Sullivan side of the family through all kinds of good and bad times. We will always miss you. And I miss you especially. Much love to you, Roger, and to Mary and Patrick now.
