Patricia Arnold Otterson, of Alexandria VA, passed away on Monday, January 21, 2013.
She was born to the late Rolla and Mary Elizabeth Arnold, on March 17, 1927, in St. Louis MO. Pat spent her early years in Los Angeles CA where she attended UCLA, modeled, and worked at Campbell's Bookstore. She married the late Grant Edward Otterson in 1955, and they lived in Sherman Oaks CA for 11 years.
After her divorce, she relocated to Texas in 1966 and raised her son in Austin. She worked at a number of prestigious department stores and was an excellent salesperson winning numerous competitions and accolades for her work. Several of her customers became her close friends and remained so for many years.
Pat retired in the late 80's and eventually moved to Alexandria VA to be close to family. She became very active volunteering at a number of organizations. She was a regular information assistant at The Torpedo Factory Art Center in Old Town, supported the efforts of the Democrats as a campaign volunteer, and assisted in the office of the National Military Family Association. In so many different capacities, she loved helping others and did so with a unique style, personality, and charm. She is survived by her son daughter-in-law, and grandson.

A service will be held on January 31, 2013 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Everly-Wheatley Funeral Home, 1500 W. Braddock Rd. Alexandria, VA. You may sign the guest book and leave a condolence to the family at:
