HUBERT H. CAUDLE  

Hubert H. Caudle was born July 13, 1922 in Roane County, Tennessee, the son of Minnie Lee (Rayburn) Caudle and Floyd D. Caudle passed away on January 31, 2013. Hubert grew up in Indiana and was a 1940 graduate of Centerville High School, Centerville, Indiana.
 
Hubert entered the U.S. Navy in May 1941 and was stationed in Washington, DC at the Department of the Navy. In September 1950 he was called to active duty in the Navy during the Korean War, where he served until March 1952. He was employed by the Department of the Navy in Arlington, VA and Washington, DC serving in the Bureau of the Naval Personnel, Naval Weapons, and Naval Air Systems Command. He worked in the Office of the Chief of Naval Materials until he retired in 1980.
 
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen Delano Caudle, whom he married on November 11, 1945 in Arlington, VA; brothers, William Caudle of Indiana and Otis Caudle of Ohio; two daughters, Judith A. Caudle (Richard Berryman) of Berryville, VA and Margie Christian (Jeff Sylvia) of Linden, VA; a grandchild, Jamie Ballard (Geoff Ballard) and a great grandson, Lucas Ballard, all of Berryville, VA.
 
He is preceded in death by a brother, Lloyd Caudle and a sister, Ruby Faye Webb.
 
Mr. Caudle was previously a member of Faith Lutheran Church and Resurrection Luther Church in Arlington and a current member of Duncan Memorial Church in Berryville, VA.
 
The viewing will be held at Enders & Shirley Funeral Home, Berryville on Friday, February 8, 2013 from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be at Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church, Berryville on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 11 a.m. with Rev. William K. Dawson officiating and Pastor Scott Ickert giving remembrances. Burial services will immediately follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Berryville. Military honors will be provided by Clarke County Honor Guard. Family and friends are invited back to Duncan Memorial for fellowship.
