PHYLLIS W. CAMPBELL  

Phyllis W. Campbell, formerly of Burtonsville, MD and Newport, VT passed away peacefully at her home in Solomons, MD on Monday, October 7, 2013 at the age of 86. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Earl D. Campbell and her brother Robert E. Wendling and his wife Trudy. She is survived by her daughters Jean and husband Dr. James Holcomb of Newport, VT, Carol and husband Fred Donovan of Chesapeake Beach, MD, and son Donald and wife Cynthia Campbell of Chalfont, PA and eight grandchildren and two great-grandsons.
After raising her children she enjoyed a career as a librarian and archivist. While Phyllis loved her books, gardening, volunteering, and travel, her passion was music. She spent her life playing classical piano, singing in choirs, and enjoying any live performance she could get to. While her family was always the center of her life, every community she lived in was enriched by her boundless energy, talents, and passion for life. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
A memorial mass will be held at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Solomons, MD on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Calvert Hospice, 238 Merrimac Court, Prince Frederick, MD 20678.
