EZRA MITCHELL COOPER, JR.
Suddenly passed away on October 26, 2013 at Virginia Hospital Center Loving husband and best friend of Jill Cooper; father of Payton Mitchell and Molly Elizabeth Cooper Also survived by his parents, Ezra Cooper Sr.and Beverly Cooper; sister Essence Cooper and many other relatives and friends. On Monday November 4, 2013 Mr. Cooper may be viewed at Lomax AME Zion Church 2704 S 24th Road Arlington.,VA from 9 a.m. until time of funeral at 11 a.m., Pastor Frederick Massey. Interment National Memorial Park. Services by Chinn-Baker, 703-979-1666 .

I was deeply saddened by the news of Ezra's passing. I have known him since he was in 1st grade and good buddies with my son, Joshua. He and my daughter Ana Maria were also friends. I liked him so much that when I wrote the book I just published (Yeshu: A Novel for the Open-Hearted; www.YeshuNovel.com), I named one of the characters Ezra. I wish he were here today to show him the passages.
My condolences to Ezra's entire family, especially his sister Essence, who was always a beam of sunshine when I saw her at Drew Model School. As we Quakers say, I will be holding all of you in the Light.

I just learned of Ezra's death. We are shocked and saddened at the sudden loss of such a wonderful, gentle and kind man, husband and father, he will be greatly missed by many. So sorry to your family.

My wife, Jeanne and I, just found out that our beloved neighbor Ezra passed away. Ezra exemplified a man that always had a wonderful way about him. His loving approach to things and his presence always known - not through being loud but for being Ezra. A man who I wish I knew better, but always felt I knew him enough through that big smile of his. Our hearts and love go out to his wife, children and those around him.

I am deeply saddened by the loss of Coach Cooper. He was a great man and a great coach! I was one of the players that came from the Baltimore team. I am grateful for the opportunity he gave me and all that he taught me. The family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
