DAVID B. GRANT  
On Saturday, December 28, 2013 of Springfield, Va. David was born in Chicago, Il, a US Army Veteran and graduate of Iowa Wesleyan University. In 1957, The Secret Service commissioned Special Agent Grant to work the Chicago and Denver field offices, as well as the Children's Detail for President Eisenhower. Special Agent Grant Joined the Kennedy Detail shortly after the election. During his career, David served Presidents Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon and Vice Presidents; Rockefeller and Mondale. He retired from the Secret Service as Assistant Special Agent in Charge of the Vice Presidential Protective Division.Loving husband of Gloria K. Brown Grant; devoted father to David B. Grant and his wife Lisa, Papa to David A. and Eva V. Grant, brother of Betty Kendrick and brother-in-law of Gwen Hill. He is also survived by three nieces and three nephews. Friends may visit from 12 noon to 1 p.m. on Thursday, January 2 with the funeral service starting at 1 p.m. at Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home, 9902 Braddock Rd. Fairfax, VA 22032. Interment Fairfax Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to Capital Caring 2900 Telestar Ct. Falls Church, VA 22042 or to a charity of your choice.
