Thanks to Ed, some wonderful projects to make the world a little better saw the light of day. I grew up watching my dad and Ed conspire and dream. I only know his kindness and dedication to justice.

I met Ed Rawson through his daughter, Rebecca, and he, she, and Jenny joined us for Thanksgiving quite a few years ago. It was a wonderful meal, with Ed and my European born and raised mother-in-law in deep conversation about Europe, among other things. I continued the world affairs conversation with him off and on, and marveled at his knowledge, common sense approach and wisdom. A wonderful man. My wishes to his entire family on this loss.

Dearest Quint, my nickname for you. I feel your loss so deeply. You were my protector when I needed one and I will always cherish you. May your brilliant mind find interesting adventures and problems to solve in your new arena. It's not goodbye for I will be with you every day as I have been over these years; I wonder if there'll be a way to Skype to Heaven? I'll be trying to make that connection with you! Patty.
