JUDITH R. YABLON

Judith Rae Yablon, age 76, of Silver Spring, MD died peacefully on April 9, 2014 surrounded by her family as a result of complications after breast cancer treatments. Judy attended Harcum College, Bryn Mawr, PA, completed business training in Boston and held an administrative position with the Dept. of Public Instruction in Harrisburg, PA prior to marriage.

Judy, the daughter of predeceased parents Marvin and Ruth Bloom; beloved wife of the late Herbert Carl Yablon and is survived by daughter Karen Michnick and her husband Larry of Darnstown, MD, her son Jeffrey Yablon of Silver Spring, and her son Gary Yablon and his wife Janel of Frederick, MD. Judy was a loving grandmother to Alyssa, Lauren, and Simon Michnick and Sydney, Madison, Delaney, and Hayden Yablon. Judy leaves behind a sister-in-law Lynda Bell (Lynn), a sister in CA, and a host of cousins/relatives, and many close dear loving friends. Judy never left home without her makeup, jewelry, dazzling clothes, and her gentle sweet disposition. Judy enjoyed gardening, shopping, spending time with friends at the community swimming pool, and being with family. It was second nature for Judy to turn her acquaintanceships into life-long friendships. Judy was loved by all and will be greatly missed.

Graveside Services will be held at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery for the immediate family. The family will be receiving friends at daughter's home of Karen and Larry Michnick on Sunday April 13 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in Judy's memory can be made to JSSA Hospice. www.jssahospice.org/support-jssa-hospice
