Of Adamstown, Maryland, died on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at home surrounded by his loving children and his wife, Sandra D. Gresham. Jack was born on May 23, 1944, the son of Kathy W. Gresham of Naples, Florida and the late Robert Coleman Gresham. His schools included Sherwood High School, Sandy Spring, Maryland and the University of Maryland, College Park, Maryland. Jack was a Veteran of the United States Navy serving on the USS Newport News (CA-148) during part of the Vietnam War. He was proud to have worked for Director J. Edgar Hoover at the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Following that service, he worked in construction management in the Washington, D.C. area. Jack and his wife Sandy bought and operated the Flint Hill Store, Park Mills Road, Adamstown, Maryland in 1992 until they closed the store in 2012. Jack is survived by four children and four grandsons. His children are Lynn Gresham Crummitt and her husband, Jay, of Frederick; Julie Gresham Schoenfelder and her husband, Rob, of Catonsville; Robert Coleman Gresham II and his wife, Christine, of Rockville; and Alexander Jackson Gresham and his fiancée, Lisa Seeley, of Frederick. His grandsons are Joshua Davis Crummitt, Jacob Coleman Crummitt, Robert Coleman Gresham III and Jackson Levon Gresham. According to Jack's wishes, all arrangements will be private.
