FREDERICK DANIEL JONES, III November 2, 1938~August 23, 2014
Our hearts were saddened on Saturday August 23, by the passing of our loved one Frederick Daniel Jones III. He departed this life, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, after a long illness. A native Washingtonian, Freddie graduated from Dunbar High School then served in the military - The United States Army and the United States Marine Corps - from June 1956 to April 1964. At the end of his military service Freddie graduated from Bowie State University and the Harvard School of Law. He worked in private practice until 1980 when he joined the United States Department of Justice. Freddy is survived by his wife Candyce; daughter Shannon and his favorite person in the world, his grandson Alex. He is also survived by nieces Jeanne Duvall and Lisa Grymes, numerous cousins, other relatives, and friends. Gregarious and charming with a keen sense of humor Freddie will be missed and remembered by all who knew him. Interment Harmony Memorial Park on Monday November 3, 2014 at 11 a.m.

Grandpa,
You were my only dad I ever had and I loved you so much. Even though we haven't lived together for over 2 years because of your illness, I will always remember the good times we spent together and I will never forget you. Thank you for being my "dad". Love, Alex
