GAYE CATHERINE BORRELLI
Gaye Catherine Borrelli, 71, of Ocean City, NJ passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at her home.Mrs. Borrelli had lived in Lakewood, NJ and North Potomac, MD before moving to Ocean City, NJ two years ago after summering here for many years.She was a High School math teacher for the Montgomery County, Maryland School District for over 35 years before her retirement.She was predeceased by her husband Guy Borrelli in 2001.Surviving are two sons, Guy Borrelli of Mt. Holly, NJ and James of Ocean City, NJ. Also surviving are two sisters, Diane Correale of Florida and Arlene Longo, NJ.A Memorial Mass will be offered Saturday morning at 10 a.m. in St. Frances Cabrini R. C. Church of St. Damien Parish, 2nd Street at Atlantic Ave., Ocean City, NJ.Burial will be on Monday at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, in Silver Spring, MD at 1:30 p.m. www.godfreyfuneralhome.com

I will always remember Gaye. I first met her during my first year of teaching at Central Regional H.S. in Bayville, NJ. A few years later I was so surprised to see her again in Maryland when we were both teaching at John F. Kennedy H.S. in Silver Spring. We taught in different departments, but every time I saw her she was always cheerful, kind, friendly, and a lot of fun. I miss her. Rita

I first met Gaye at Central Regional High School in Bayville, NJ, when I was a first-year Spanish teacher there. She was very friendly to me and someone I admired. Years later, I was so surprised to see her again at JFK High School in Silver Spring, MD, where we both taught. I could always count on her sense of humor.
My heartfelt condolences to Gaye's family. May all the good memories of her and God's love help to comfort you in the days ahead.

I had Mrs Borelli for math at Parkland Jr High. She was an outstanding teacher. I have thought of her over the years and while I was in math class in college. Prayers for her family. To her children please know your Mom touched a lot of lives

She was a GREAT teacher, she helped guide me to my career choice, and was always encouraging me to do my best.

Guy and Jamie, I am so sad to hear of the passing of my good friend and neighbor. I have been lonely since she moved and have missed her terribly. She was a good woman and loved you both dearly. See you both soon.
