I first met Ron years ago when we worked together on a legal case for a mutual client in Southwest Virginia. He was always thoughtful, professional, and well-prepared. He made quite an impression on my office, who remember him as dynamic, fearless, and friendly. When our case was resolved, Ron returned home to the D.C. area, but we remained in touch. Over many years, although we never saw each other, we talked often by phone and email. We shared similar views about politics, the economy, and world affairs, and he was always well-informed and thoughtful. I called him on his birthday each year, and he would always say, You never forget. I never forgot, because Ron was a dear man, a friend, a loving husband, father, and grandfather. And Ron never forgot me, either. Each Christmas/Hanukkah, we received an ornament or other small gift from Ron. My wife, Joyce, and I always loved his thoughtfulness. When I shared the news of Ron's passing with one of his former colleagues, he said, I will miss him greatly. That is an understatement. I will miss Ron more than any professional I've ever known. Eddi, I would be there for his funeral if I could. Please give my love and condolences to the entire family.

Eddi, Marissa, Courtney, and your families - I am so sorry for your loss. Ron was an amazing lawyer with the quickest mind I've ever known, but he was also a mentor and a wonderful friend. I'll miss him very much, and Cyndi, Zachary, Max and I will say an extra prayer tonight.
