PEGGY RAE SAPIENZA (Age 70)  
Died with her family by her side on March 22, 2015. Her funeral was at Advent Funeral & Cremation Services on March 28, 2015, and she was buried in Fort Lincoln Cemetery in Brentwood, MD. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Maryland with a B.A. in Economics, and was a long time legislative assistant to State Delegate Frank Pesci. She later worked as a UNIX and Informix analyst and trainer for OSHA for many years. Peggy Rae was a tireless volunteer for a wide variety of causes. She worked on the League of Women Voters of Prince George's County, the Prince George's County Community Mental Health Advisory Board, the Paint Branch Unitarian Universalist Church, and the Maryland State Board of Elections. Peggy Rae was also well-known for her work organizing science fiction conventions. She was highly respected for her competence, her kindness, and her knack for matching people's talents with a convention's needs. She served as a mentor to many fans over the years and took great joy in sharing her knowledge.Peggy Rae is survived by her husband, John; her daughter, Missy Koslosky and husband, Bryan Koslosky; her son, Eric Pavlat and wife, Wendy Pavlat, her sister, Toni Dwight; her step-mother, Ann McKnight; and her eight grandchildren, Bryce Koslosky, John Thomas Pavlat, Andrea Pavlat, Matthew Pavlat, Rachel Pavlat, Natalie Koslosky, Mark Pavlat and Luke Pavlat.
