CHARLES E. JOECKEL, SR "Charlie" (Age 89)  
Went home to be with the Lord on the early morning on November 30, 2015 of Beltsville, MD, formerly of Colmar Manor, MD. He was a wonderful, faithful, kind husband of 11 years of Karon Joeckel. Father of Sharon (Taylor) Alexander, Ronald Joeckel, and the late Charles "Butch" Joeckel, Jr. Grandfather of eight; great-grandfather of 10. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Margaret Joeckel, as well as his first wife Louvenia, to whom he was married to for over 50 years. A special thanks to Holy Cross Hospice Family Nursing Care coordinator, Andrea, along with the nurses and caregivers, Abel, Alexandra, Amadu, Marcel, and Gisel. Friends may call at Gasch's Funeral Home, P.A., 4739 Baltimore Avenue on Wednesday, December 2 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M., as well as, on Thursday, December 3 from 10 a.m., until service time at 11 AM. Interment Union Cemetery, Burtonsville, MD. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Grace Baptist Church, Benevolent Fund, 7210 Racetrack Road, Bowie, MD 20715.www.gasachs.com

Charlie was a great guy and I am sure I am amongst many who enjoyed his kindness and appreciate the mutual devotion he shared with his wife Karon. I was just their car salesman, but their every visit was a joy.
