Patrick Shifflett Obituary
Patrick Andrew Shifflett
(Age 18) Entered eternal rest on June 7, 2016. He is survived by his parents, Walter and Lily Shifflett; brothers, James, Steven and Nicholas Shifflett. Grandparents, Walter Shifflett of Charlottsville, VA, Nelson, Sr. and Maria T. Carbonell of Gaithersburg, MD. He also leaves behind three uncles, seven aunts and 30 cousins. Patrick was a devoted son and loving brother. He was captain of the Clarksburg High School football team where he played the positions of offensive and defensive lineman. He was a leader of his peers and was beloved by them. He was a young man of faith, character, integrity, loyalty, and wisdom. The family will receive visitors from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, June 12 at De Vol Funeral Home, 10 East Deer Park Drive, Gaithersburg, MD. A viewing and Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, June 13 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 9000 Warfield Road, Gaithersburg, MD. Viewing will start at 9 a.m. and Mass at 10 a.m. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Silver Spring, MD.

I am deeply saddened and shocked by the sudden and tragic loss of Patrick.My prayers and thoughts I extend to the Shifflet Family.While I did not personally know Patrick, I have heard much testimony of those who had the privilege of knowing him and the many fond memories he created. Lily and Walt, I will never forget Patrick (my favorite of all my sons friends). He was a special person, caring and loving and just all around a fun human being.
